Steeplechase Biography Steeplechase is an American rock band formed in New Jersey by brothers Poc Silver (singer-songwriter, lead vocals and guitar) and Jason Silver (lead guitar, songwriter). The band's early music was a blend of pop and folk rock influences, but has gradually expanded throughout the years to include a variety of genres and a more alternative, arena rock sound, with their musical influences ranging from Kings of Leon to The Eagles. Spotted by Fleetwood Mac and Aerosmith Producer Elliot Scheiner, the Grammy Winner encouraged Poc and Jason to focus their talents on their band Steeplechase. This focus resulted in Steeplechase’s first major release She Calls Me Out Tonight being produced by Grammy-Nominated Producer John Ravenhall, who’s worked with the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Sting, amongst many others. Following the success of the band’s most recent releases, Afterwords and The Wayfinder, Steeplechase’s music has been featured on HBO, MTV, Time Warner’s TNT, NBC and used for the opening credits of award-winning film, Happy. The band has also been invited to join singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel’s music licensing company, Cue Songs. Steeplechase’s much-awaited new album is due for release later this year.
