No Dust

No Dust is a division of Dean Jones and Ken McGloin’s brain. Using a wide variety of instruments and up to date technology the duo composes tracks that span the genres of the 20th and 21st centuries. No Dust is known for it’s unique and quirky musical ideas and one-of-a-kind productions. No Dust (BMI) began their working partnership in 1999, re-scoring episodes of MTV’s Road Rules and Real World. These tracks will not go away: they have been licensed on well over 100 TV shows including: Oprah, Cribs, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, A&E Biography, Kathy Griffin Show, Made, and The Osbourne’s to name a few. Their cues and pieces have also been used internationally in film scores, websites, and promotional videos. Dean Jones leads the band Dog on Fleas, which is one of the premier bands playing music for children and families. Their “Cranberry Sauce Flotilla” CD was chosen by the School Library Journal as the #1 Pick on the 12 Kid’s Albums You Can’t Live Without list. National Public Radio chose Dean’s solo CD, “Napper’s Delight” as one of the best of 2007. Ken McGloin is the music director for Face The Music, a company that works with corporations to create cutting edge programs that engage participants to write and perform original songs about their business issues. Ken also composes and records for industrials. Some of the clients include Lincoln Financial, King, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, and Bank of America. Both Ken and Dean have composed for theater and multi-media events. Dean has traveled the U.S. as the one-man band/musical director of Arm of the Sea Theater, and as the solo musician in Hudson River Playback Theater. He has worked with the shadow/multi-media group Cave Dogs for over 12 years, receiving numerous grants from the Henson Foundation, NEA, NYSCA, Franklin Furnace and more. Ken has been on a team of writers composing music for educational plays for 10 years at the James Earl Jones Theater. Name dropping part: one or the other of these guys has played and/or recorded with George Clinton, Elizabeth Mitchell, Varnaline, the Felice Brothers, Dave Douglas, Tony Levin, Patti Page, Artie Traum, Annie Ross and Jon Hendricks, Uncle Buckle, Sonando, Amy Fradon, Gregory and the Hawk, Louise Taylor, Mark Murphy, Hank Crawford, Guy Davis, Lunch Meat, Dean Sharp and many others. No Dust has subdivided their tracks into 3 categories, as follows: Camp Corn: goofy, campy, exotic and freakish.
