Deasel Music brings the industry a steady mix of quality production and hit driven songs.New York based producer Jay Deasel has produced professionally in almost every popular style, from Hip-Hop and RnB to Rock and Pop. Jay Deasel strives to be a producer not pinned to one genre, very influenced by the versatility of such producers as: Rick Rubin, Scott Storch and the Neptunes. After just two years from graduation Jay Deasel has placed songs on ABC, won 2nd in the 2004 John Lennon Song Contest and currently has hit songs charting in South East Asia with his artist Shayna Zaid. Jay has increased his industry presence with the recent collaborations with such companies as Chris Styles’ Dangerous LLC (NYC) and Shele Sondheim’s CSM Words and Music (LA). Jay Deasel has been working closely with Dangerous LLC (who has #1 hit songs for 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot and more) producing and writing songs for their artists and also ‘shopping’ music to industry heavyweights. Jay has also built a great relationship with CSM Words and Music, run by Berklee alum Shele Sondheim. Shele's recording and performing credits include Phil Collins, Natalie Cole, Little Richard, as well as extensive worldwide TV & Film credits. CSM and Deasel Music recently collaborated on the writing and production for the young group 3W and have many new projects on the horizon. Born and raised in Canada, Jay Deasel (aka Joel Dean) played for years in bands as a guitarist before leaving for Boston in 2001 to study at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music. There he truly learned the craft of songwriting and arranging from Berklee’s talented Songwriting Dept.
