Ultimately, it's honest but cheerful, a combination that's oddly refreshing." -Dispatch Magazine All The Real Girls is an American rock band, the brainchild of singer/songwriter Peter Donovan who was raised on an eclectic mix of 90’s rock radio, Bob Dylan, 60s & 70s pop music and show tunes. They’ve since released three albums of songs rooted deep in the American tradition. The band recently wrote and recorded the soundtrack to the independent film “Lost On Purpose”. The film is about five young California dairy workers, struggling with both the uncertainty of their pending manhood, as well as the uncertain future of their near bankrupt farm. The ensemble cast includes Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), James Lafferty (One Tree Hill) and Octavia Spencer, who just won an Academy Award for The Help. All The Real Girls lead singer Donovan, stars as one of the five farmhands, a musician who’s struggling to balance his own artistic desires with the sudden and unexpected success of his band. The band will be going into the studio this fall to track their third full length LP.
