The legacy of great songs are oftentimes brought back by a new generation. This generation has a new voice in gifted singer, songwriter, composer and musician ALFIO. While often compared to the legends and crooners of yesterday, ALFIO brings a Modern Classical approach to the songs he loves to sing, bringing a fresh and contemporary style to the much-loved classics and introducing these songs to a new generation. An Australian native of Italian descent, tenor-trained ALFIO brings passion and emotion to every song he sings and his vocals, which range from soft timbre to full bravado, brings the audience to their feet at every show. Known as “The Voice of Passion,” his live performances are electric and mesmerizing and his repertoire of songs are romantic in theme and are sung in English, Italian and Spanish, including a Spanish version of “My Way” and Italian classics “Quando Quando Quando” and “Il Mondo” recorded for this debut album Tranquillità. After a Top 10 album in Australia, this gifted performer toured the world and has performed for many dignitaries and luminaries including both current and former Australian Prime Ministers. As a songwriter, ALFIO wrote “Voce Pura,” for Luciano Pavarotti after their dinner one night in Sydney and sent it to the Maestro before he passed away. He has also written acclaimed single “Il Nostro Sogno (Our Dream),” a song about world peace that not only showcases his songwriting prowess but specifically targets the hairs on the back of your neck. ALFIO’s newest album, Classic Rewinds, is an Italian-American tribute which salutes 15 of the greatest Italian-American artists of our time such as Frank Sinatra, Mario Lanza, Dean Martin and many more. Many of the songs he covers are not the standard covers recorded today—songs such as “The Impossible Dream,” “Don’t Let the Stars Get In Your Eyes,” “I Have But One Heart,” “Where Do I Begin” and even “Always” by Bon Jovi, recorded in “ALFIO” style.
